Heather Massey (she/her) is a geek mom who’s the proud parent of a terrific daughter and married to the love of her life. Though she’s neither an award-winning nor bestselling author (thank you for not judging!), her stories provide quality entertainment by way of fantastical worlds, action-adventure, and larger-than-life characters who fall in love while battling evils such as classist jerks, corporate greed, the patriarchy, and corrupt politicians.

From 2008-2016, Heather wrote about sci-fi romance at The Galaxy Express. Her writing has been featured in Reactor, RT Book Reviews, Coffee Time Romance, Heroes & Heartbreakers, Germany’s LoveLetter magazine, Dear Author, and SF Signal. In addition to books, she writes for grassroots groups such as Neighbors For Change. An adoptee, she penned an article about adoption for Severance Magazine called “A Tale of Two Adoptees.” Read her other articles at The Observation Deck and follow her on Bluesky.

Heather has a master’s degree in counseling psychology and helped disadvantaged youth with family reunification, education, and employment goals in a variety of settings. When not writing, she enjoys movies, books, and comics.

Anyway, enough about her. Trans rights are human rights. Black lives matter. Medicare, childcare, and reproductive justice for all. Immigrants welcome. We’re here, we’re queer, get used to it. Decolonize everything. Reparations needed for Black and Indigenous people. Make everything accessible for disabled folks. Give essential workers a bill of rights. Interrogate whiteness. All art is political. Tax the rich.

Note to my readers: I don’t use AI tools to write. All my books come from my brain and are edited by human editors. I don’t use AI slop for my covers or anything else. As my budget allows, I pay artists for illustrated covers and related book art.
