When her best friend, Danny, ropes her into taking her spot at the Women's Arm Wrestling Championship, Melanie, who is a baker, must trade whisks for barbells to compete against the reigning champ for a chance at the grand prize.

Golden Arm is a female buddy comedy with arm wrestling, bar fights, a vampy villainess, romance, laugh-riot jokes, flashy costumes, butch rep, female empowerment, and lots of corn (sort of).

Here are six more reasons you should watch Golden Arm:

1) Golden Arm is one of those rare, unapologetically feminist female sports movies and is also fantastic.

2) The movie features hilarious dialogue, including this Oscar-worthy gem: "Whooo-hooo, look at all that corn!" Whoever came up with that line is a genius.

3) During one scene, there’s an amazing conversation about a certain female body part that rarely gets the celebration and reverence that this film gives it. That alone makes Golden Arm a must-see movie.

4) Former 15-time arm wrestling champion Dot-Marie Jones stars in the best role of her career. YOU GOTTA EXPERIENCE THE GLORY OF BIG SEXY IN GOLDEN ARM!

5) Golden Arm also has Jerry! Greg! and Carl! They’re three of the sweetest, softest, and most supportive male characters you’ll ever meet—and they’re all in the same film! Two are pudgy, one is muscular, and they’re all delicious.

6) The Golden Arm movie cast is majority female. It stars Betsy Sodaro as Danny and Mary Holland as Melanie. Olivia Stambouliah knocks it out of the park as Brenda the Bonecrusher, Melanie's main rival.

Golden Arm also has tons of lady rep behind the camera:

Director: Maureen Bharoocha

Screenwriters: Anne Marie Allison and Jenna Milly

Too many producers to list

Music: Hannah Parrott

…and more!

Anyway, go see the wildly entertaining Golden Arm! You need it in your life like you need air to breathe.
